Peter is currently completing research on informal urban sanitation infrastructures and the power relationships that underpin them as the focus of his PhD at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. Peter has over 10 years of extensive teaching and research experience within the field of urban development. His research interests include urban informality, urban environmental change/transitions, housing, inequality, poverty and climate change adaptation/resilience, and inclusive governance and planning. Peter continues to engage in various fieldwork-based courses conducted in partnership between Makerere University and different international institutions such the Development Planning Unit at University College of London and the University of Manchester, both in the UK.
