Ram Subramanian

Ram Subramanian is professor of leadership in the Department of Management and Organization in the School of Business Administration. Ram teaches courses in strategy and cross-cultural management and makes extensive use of the case method in his classes. Ram’s research interests include both traditional empirical research (in various areas of strategy and international management) and the case method. Since 2023, he has been an Associate Editor at the Case Research Journal. He has published over 60 teaching cases, and his work has appeared in both case depositories (Ivey Publishing) and in outlets such as the Harvard Business Review.
Ram’s research interest is in examining various facets of the organization-environment relationship and has published papers related to market orientation and environmental scanning in Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research and Management International Review, among others. He is a Fulbright specialist scholar with stints in India and the Netherlands, teaching case writing to business school faculty.
