Dr. David A. Wernick is a Teaching Professor in Florida International University’s (FIU’s) Department of International Business and an award-winning case writer. His research focuses on global business strategy, political risk, and sustainable innovation. Dr. Wernick teaches courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels for FIU’s College of Business and School of International and Public Affairs. Dr. Wernick works closely with FIU undergraduate business students in his capacity as Faculty Advisor for the College’s International Business Honors Society (IBHS). He also is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Global Business and Community (JGBC) – an undergraduate e-journal focused on issues at the nexus of international business and society.

Prior to joining FIU, Dr. Wernick worked as researcher, writer, and policy analyst in New York and Washington. Dr. Wernick received his BA in Political Science from Tulane University, his MA in International Studies from FIU, and his PhD in Business Administration from FIU.
