David Wernick is a Teaching Professor in Florida International University’s Department of International Business. His research focuses on global business strategy, innovation, and sustainable enterprise. Dr. Wernick teaches a variety of international business and management courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive levels at FIU’s College of Business. He also holds an appointment at the university’s Stephen J. Green School of International and Public Affairs and teaches in the Master of Arts in Global Affairs program.

Prior to joining FIU, Dr. Wernick worked as a senior analyst with a Miami-based international security consultancy and was director of communications for the Americas Society and Council of the Americas in New York. Dr. Wernick has also served as managing editor of the Latin America Advisor. Dr. Wernick received his B.A. in Political Science from Tulane University, and his M.A. in International Studies and Ph.D. in Business Administration from FIU.
