Christopher Groening is Associate Professor in the Marketing and Entrepreneurship department at Kent State University. He was previously a faculty member at the University of Missouri and also spent nine years working in the multimedia field at various start-up companies in the San Francisco area. Groening obtained his PhD at the University of Pittsburgh and has published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Service Research, and Journal of Business Ethics, among others. His current academic research centers around investigating stakeholder influence on the financial outcomes of a firm and he teaches marketing strategy to undergraduates and EMBA students, as well as a marketing strategy PhD seminar.
