Dan, a senior programmer in the management information systems department at Komsay, Inc. is asked to draft a business proposal to a university for a student-grade mobile application. It was the company’s first proposal to a university and Dan wanted to make a good first impression. Still, the proposal would have to be delivered to the university’s board of trustees the following week and Dan and his team had little experience with the new technology. Students are asked to put themselves in the shoes of the protagonist and solve the case problem.
