Cross Disciplinary Education in Global Operations

In 2012, the Tauber Institute was awarded the first UPS George D. Smith Prize for effective and innovative preparation of students to be good practitioners of operations research, management science, or analytics. The Tauber Institute's programs include the LeadershipAdvantage program, facility tours and team projects where students work on substantive issues to earn or save sponsoring companies millions of dollars, based on the team's results and recommendations. Well-designed and managed team projects form the cornerstone of the Tauber Institute experience and allow students to apply their knowledge to real world settings.
