A quick note about password security: For years, WDI Publishing has been using plain-text passwords, rather than encrypted. This allows us to send you your password, rather than force a reset using a scheme of challenge questions and secondary verification. While we may move to that method soon, let us explain why we continue to use plain-text passwords, even to the point of emailing them to you.
WDI Publishing does not store Credit Card information. Ever.
Our eCommerce is handled by a third party, and all sensitive information sent there is secured by the HTTPS protocol. If your password is breached, sniffed, or socially engineered out of you, the hacker will find nothing with which to steal your identity, or your money. Worst case, they can read the cases you've purchased.
I hope this assuages any concern you have with plain-text passwords. We store nothing of your identity or credit cards. Rather than burden you with yet another set of challenge questions, we have, at this point, opted for your convenience.
